In collaboration with the Võru Folk Dance Festival, dance workshops both for kids and grown-ups will also be held at Seto Folk. The kids workshop is characterized by playfulness and joy of moving and should offer plenty of fun to everyone. This is how our visitors from Võru introduce their plans for Seto Folk:
“We are Marianne, Kadri and Anu from the Võru Folk Dance Festival team. All of us are actively involved in the world of singing, dancing and instrument playing. We´ve combined our forces and will also bring a little bit of the Võru Folk Dance Festival to Seto Folk. Our festival´s theme for this year is “Back to the Waltz” which is why we will mostly be teaching different waltzes. You will learn how to dance the “labajalavalss” and “hiiu valss”. Surely a polka or a Seto kargus will be amongst the dances as well. For children we will offer some of the favourite games of our own kids and hopefully they will become your favourites as well. Be there, we will be expecting you!”
The workshop will be led by Marianne Jaanson, Kadri Mähar and Anu Koop.
