The Vepsian stories

Three humorous stories from the kin nation of Estonians.
The home of the Veps is located in Russia, about 700-800 km from Estonia. Once upon a time there was a Vepsian man and a woman that are the subjects of many stories – such as the one about the evil door-knocker, or the one about the exchange of a pair of shoes for a cow or maybe the one about the planting of the turnip on the roof of their house.
Children are invited to tell stories and give voices to the toys used in the performance together with the actor. The Vepsian stories have been collected and told by Marje Joalaid.
