Many estonians know a story about the time Devil tried to separate Sõrve peninsula from Saaremaa. He began to break a trench in between, creating much noise and nuisance. One of many sorcerers of Sõrve realised what was going on and could not allow such isolationalist madness. The sourcerer told his bees to attack the Devil and drive him away. Though bees are peaceful, flowerloving and overall pleasantly humming creatures, they took the task and stung the Devil in various places. After a ferocious battle, the Devil was forced to run away and its plan to isolate Sõrve peninsula failed.
We are the bees in that story.
