At 19 Old Diner

Musician of the Republic Juhan Uppin is a versatile Estonian diatonic accordion and kannel player whose music is deeply rooted in tradition. At the same time he has been a pioneer who seeks for new sounds and possibilities on these instruments and has widened the traditional playing style and repertoire. At the opening concert of Seto Folk Uppin will play thumbpick kannel, which was also played in Setomaa traditionally, and the Teppo accordion which was built a hundred years ago in Võromaa, not far from Seto cultural space.
