What is the sound of modern Estonia and the people inside it? Ensemble Pillikud is searching an answer to that question. They search their inspiration from their homeland, the people living there and the traditions and combining it with the Western music sound. Their compositions show courage to experiment with different styles, instrumentations and arrangements. During the last five years they’ve performed in Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Nepal, even though they are still making their first steps towards Estonian listeners. In 2019 June the band is releasing their first studio album, which is presented in Estonia and Europe.
